October 5, 1968..Our Wedding Day!

On Sunday we celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We invited 30 of our closest family members and friends to a beautiful brunch at the Botanical Gardens in Whitnall Park. It was a wonderful celebration.


This would be us on our Big Day long ago also at Whitnall Park!

Day spent with Oprah

While visiting Chicago to see a play, I managed, by luck, to get 4 tickets to a taping of Oprah's show to kick off her Fall Season!

The theme of her show is A Tribute to the USA Olympians. Can you spot Michael Phelps?

So they were all there on stage..all 120 of them. Can you spot Oprah?


Her I am with my friends, Diane, Nancy, & Kathi having a blast among the 6000 Oprah fans!

For a change I guess I was in the right place at the right time..

A Summer Sunday with Shaelin.

Feast with the Beasts at the Zoo

On a beautiful Friday evening we visited the zoo for a la Carte night. 26 local restaurants set up a booth for visitors to sample some of their cuisine.

There are lots of local bands to provide entertainment.

Here is a pair of cute prairie dogs saying hello.

And a proud peacock as well.

And of course we had to try some of the samplings!

Recent trip to Green Bay

After a golf outing last week, we made a visit to to the Packer's Summer Training Camp in Green Bay.



The place was packed with fans.
