Georgia Tech makes it to the NCAA..and Bob was there!

With the NCAA going on, Bob had a great time driving the Georgia Tech basketball team around for a few days during their Milwaukee stint.

Here is a team photo he took outside the restaurant where they had dinner one evening.

Here is the bus Bob drove with the team onboard. He was able to go on the tarmac to pick them up from their chartered plane.

The sign posted in the window of his bus..

He was also given a police escort from the airport to their hotel..excuse me!!

The team practicing before their game. They did manage to win their first game but didn't make the win on the second round. But it sure was a fun experience for Bob. He was even given an autographed basketball from the team!

A Walk in the Snowy Woods..

While Kim was visiting here, Shaelin took her outside to check out his snow fort. From there we all decided to go for a walk in the nearby woods.

Here is Kim, Shaelin, and Mike getting ready to explore the woods.

Brian and Kim leading the way.

We had to stop by at the playground for a little swing time!

Brian and Mike demonstating their famous "trapeze" lift off leaping into the air! I gave them a perfect "10" for their feat. I love this photo..

Shaelin told us if they can do it, so can he..and he did!!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Last week Kim was in Chicago for a work function and when she was finished, Bob & I picked her up so she could spend a few days with us before returning to S.F. We got this brain- storming idea to visit my parents tavern that they ran for many years before retiring.

The neighborhood bar in Milwaukee is still there and even tho' it's no longer the Poca Tap, it looked in pretty good condition.

Here we are visiting with the man who is leasing the bar. He couldn't have been friendlier to us. He was interested in hearing all my stories about growing up here. Kim told him about things she remembered when her grandparents ran the place.

The jukebox was on the same wall as it was back then.

The bar is the same as was the tile on the floor. It was really a fun evening to reminisce.
